PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Inovateus completed the largest solar carport project in North America for Michigan State University – a venture that will save the university millions of dollars and provide an opportunity for valuable research. The partnership will allow MSU to purchase electricity produced from the solar arrays at a fixed price for 25 years. The project was awarded the Onsite Renewable Energy award by Smart Energy Decisions, and will produce 5%-8% of the universities total power.

“As a global top-100 research university Michigan State University has to take leadership on important issues facing our society. Renewable energy is one such issue. In Inovateus Solar! we found a partner that shares our values and provided a power purchase agreement solution for us that made sense financially as well. In only 9 months they built the largest solar carport array in North America on our campus, covering 5,000 parking spaces. The array is performing exactly as promised, delivering enough electricity to completely power more than 1,800 average American households.”
