McElroy Metals

Peachtree City, California

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Inovateus completed and commissioned a 500-KW rooftop installation in December 2013 on top of McElroy Metals’ Peachtree City manufacturing plant. It is one of the largest solar installations for a metal roofing manufacturer in the U.S. McElroy has 12 manufacturing facilities, and this was the first one to go solar. Before the solar could be installed, the existing metal roof was over 34 years old and consisted of galvanized R panel that McElroy retrofitted with their 238T symmetrical standing seam system, which provides an excellent metal-over-metal reroof solution and the perfect substrate for a solar installation.
