Inovateus solar posters: Earl Stewart dials up the funk with Solar Records

It’s no secret that many members of the Inovateus team are very musically inclined. Much like the successful development and installation of a custom solar array requires creativity and expertise, the art of combining tunes to craft something new and original requires seamless transitions between recordings to develop unique mixes of songs. While my solar poster may seem very similar to my colleague Jorge Varela’s Solar Mix, I’d like to share my own unique spin on the beats in my poster called Solar Records.

I’ve loved the sound of vinyl since I was a kid, and throughout most of the 1970s, I spent my time getting down and feeling groovy, spinning records and dialing up the funk as a deejay at the hottest spots in town. Although my nights working the turntables in the clubs may be over, I remain a huge disc jockey enthusiast and enjoy my collection of more than a thousand warm-sounding analog records on a daily basis. Something about the art of aligning the beats of different music sources so that the rhythms do not clash when they are played together really resonates with the beautiful synergies of renewable energy and what we work toward every day at Inovateus—helping to deploy solar on a global scale.

As the head of shipping and receiving, I am primarily concerned with the acceptance and shipment of products and supplies as well as the management of company inventories. Since I oversee the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of a range of goods, I’m responsible for a vital part of the company’s supply chain processes. Like a master deejay’s smooth turntable moves keep the dancers happy, the flawless acquisition and delivery of supplies reinforce the positive and lasting relationships we form as part of Inovateus’ relentless pursuit of exemplary customer satisfaction.

Vinyl records and renewable energy are two of my greatest passions. I like to think of my position as one which allows me to meet the needs of consumers, whether they are interested in a more “classic” model (like LPs) or moving toward more modern and innovative approaches (like digital recordings). Regardless, I will keep mixing down creative solutions to ensure the beat of solar resounds for all to hear.
