Writing a book can be a daunting challenge, especially for someone like me who’s not a professional author. When I first had the idea of doing a book about the solar and clean energy revolution and Inovateus Solar’s evolution and role in that ongoing revolution, I believed I had a story that needed telling. It was a passion project, a labor of love, an endeavor that required sacrifice and determination to see it through. With the publication of Building A Brilliant Tomorrow: The Transformation of Inovateus Solar and the Energy Revolution, all those hours of “putting pen to paper” (or “fingers to keyboard,” in my case) have borne fruit.
As I wrote in the book’s introduction, Building a Brilliant Tomorrow is about the intersection of American business and the energy revolution. Foremost, I wrote this book to share the story of Inovateus, and how we’ve built and grown the company into one of the leading developers in the solar industry. But this book is just as much a how-to story for entrepreneurs and other businesspeople who want to understand how a company’s core values can drive a business to achieve bigger and better goals. From learning the importance of starting any endeavor by asking why, to learning the importance of living core values, my hope is that other entrepreneurs will get ideas from our story to help them evolve their young companies.
In addition to being a guide for business leaders, I wanted to share my insights on the solar revolution that’s happening in the Midwest and all over the world. The next 10 years are going to be very interesting in this industry. With advances in technologies and prominent visionaries and commercial brands embracing solar for economic and environmental reasons, solar is fast becoming the energy of choice for many applications.
To celebrate the launch, we’re having a hometown book-signing event. If you live in or happen to be passing through the South Bend area on Wednesday, May 10, the event will take place at the Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore, from 6–8 p.m. I’ll be discussing the book and signing copies. I’d also like to invite anyone who would like to learn more about how a small Midwestern company has become a champion for building a brilliant, solar-powered tomorrow and innovator in core value-driven business practices to check out the book, which can be purchased here on Amazon.
