Inovateus gets ready to rock Intersolar North America

Intersolar North America, the first of the two annual U.S. solar industry main events, takes place July 12-14 in San Francisco—and key members of the Inovateus team will be there. Although we are not exhibiting this year, Inovateus will be spreading our message of building a brilliant tomorrow from the conference rooms to the tradeshow floor, from a live social media gathering to two glorious evenings of raucous so(u)l- powered music.

Here’s the rundown of our Intersolar NA activities:

Tuesday, July 12, noon: Connect with Inovateus at the Intersolar Tweetup

Our Inovateus team loves connecting with our installer partners and other customers using social media, so we’re excited to be one of the sponsors of the Intersolar 2016 Lunchtime Tweetup at the Thirsty Bear. As an added bonus for this year’s get-together, I will be giving away copies of my new book, Building A Brilliant Tomorrow, to lucky raffle winners. Tweetup tickets are going fast, so sign up here if you’re interested in joining us. And even if you don’t go, let’s connect on Twitter at @InovateusSolar or @TJKan.

Wednesday, July 13, 4:15 pm: Tom Brown’s presentation on off-grid solar desalination

As part of the Intersolar conference session addressing energy fuels, storage and desalination technologies, Tom Brown, Inovateus’ VP of strategic development, will be talking about the CuisinArt project that we helped engineer and build on the Caribbean island of Anguilla. Tom will share some of the lessons we learned about powering a desalination plant with off-grid solar-plus-storage and how they could be applied to future island microgrid projects.

Wednesday, July 13, 7 pm: Inovateus returns for another epic Solar Battle of the Bands

Anyone who has hung out with the Inovateus crew knows that we’re almost as passionate about music as we are about solar. Our band, Rev. Ray and the Everlasting Incentives, will be making an encore appearance at this year’s Solar Battle of the Bands on July 13. We’re also a sponsor of this jammed-to-capacity Intersolar party, where musical groups from several different companies come together with the solar tribe in a fun-loving, libation-filled competition. Inovateus won the award for best onstage costumes at last year’s battle, but we expect to compete for top overall honors this year. Our killer 20-minute set will start at 10:25 pm at the Mezzanine club.

Thursday, July 14, 7 pm: Inovateus rocks Terrapin Crossroads

The Solar Battle of the Bands is only the beginning of the Inovateus/Rev. Ray and the Everlasting Incentives’ NorCal summer 2016 tour. On the evening of Thursday, July 14, we will be hosting a Solar Crossroads Party at Terrapin Crossroads in San Rafael. As a big fan of the Grateful Dead, it will be a real honor to perform with our band in this awesome venue owned by the Dead’s bassist, Phil Lesh—and to share the stage with Phil’s son Grahame and his band, Midnight North. It’s a private affair, so contact us if you want tickets. But it’s not just about the music: we are also helping to install a 20 KW solar PV system at the ‘Crossroads, and will announce details of the project at the party.

Conferences like Intersolar really do help to bring the solar industry together, so we’re very excited to be there this year. We look forward to meeting all of our solar partners, customers and friends. See you in San Francisco!

If you’d like more info about all that we’re doing at Intersolar or would like to schedule a business or press meeting with me, Tom, Tyler, or other Inovateus team members,  please contact us at info@inovateus.com.
