Twice a year, the U.S. solar community gets together en masse at the largest tradeshows on the conference calendar: Intersolar North America’s July run in San Francisco, followed by Solar Power International’s mid-September shebang in Las Vegas. Although Inovateus won’t be exhibiting this year, I’ll be joining several of our team members at Intersolar next week. We will be meeting with component suppliers, prospective customers, current partners, and our friends in the industry, as well as learning about the latest solar technology and policy trends.
One of the trends we’re following is energy storage, so we’re excited to see Intersolar becoming more of a “solar-plus” or “smart energy” event, with the co-located EES North America energy storage conference and expo expanding in size at the Moscone Center. When one adds up all the solar- and storage-related companies represented at the joint event, more than 500 exhibitors will be on hand to display their wares and services. Since Inovateus has expanded its offering to include storage in its commercial and utility development and EPC businesses as well as its supply and distribution arm, our team will be eagerly making new contacts, catching up with old friends, and deepening their technical and professional skill sets at the show.
One of our favorite social events, the annual Intersolar Tweetup, will take place Wednesday, July 12, at a new “happy hour” time and location: 4 p.m. at the Impress Lounge above Yerba Buena Gardens. There are still a few tickets available–click here for more info. Another annual Intersolar event is the Solar Battle of the Bands—a battle that the Inovateus crew won last year with our very own Rev. Ray and the Everlasting Incentives. (See the highlights here.) Although Inovateus won’t be defending our Solar Battle of the Bands title this year, we will be at the Mezzanine on the night of July 12, partying with our solar family, having a few cold ones, and urging on this year’s contestants.
Although we love our Midwest home, we truly enjoy coming out to San Francisco every year to see our national and international solar installer friends and product partners. If you’ll be there too, we’d be happy to set up a meeting with you and myself or another member of the Inovateus team to discuss how we can help each other to “build a brilliant tomorrow.” To make an appointment, please email me or our marketing ambassador, Mauricio Anon to set a time.
See you in San Francisco!
