This Fourth of July, at a time when many focus on what divides us, Inovateus views solar energy as a unifier that brings together Americans from across the entire spectrum of politics, beliefs and lifestyles.
Republicans, Democrats and Independents, urban hipsters, suburbanites and flyover folks, small businesspeople, corporate managers and Buffett billionaires, military leaders, peace activists and educators—people from all corners of this vast and beautiful land of ours want solar and other renewables to increasingly contribute to our energy independence and economic growth.
From the single solar panel powering an ice cream cart in South Bend to the solar parking canopies under construction at Michigan State to the tens of thousands of panels producing megawatt-hours of clean energy at DTE’s solar power plant in Lapeer, we have done—and continue to do—our patriotic best to help transform the Midwest and this country into a more prosperous, sustainable place to live.
We believe that America, despite its shortcomings, has not stopped being great, and that even better times lie ahead. Our faith in the inherent greatness of the American experiment—and the inherent goodness of the American people—helps keep us focused on our core mission of building a brilliant, solar-powered tomorrow.
We’re proud to be American—and proud to be an American solar company. Because, as I said in last year’s Fourth of July post, “nothing is more American, more patriotic, more mom and apple pie than solar power.”
From everyone here at Inovateus, we hope you have a great Fourth!
