With the holidays just around the corner, I wanted to take a minute to reflect on some of the amazing accomplishments that made 2016 the best year yet for Inovateus, and thank everyone that made it possible.
As you well know, Inovateus is comprised of a dedicated team of solar fanatics (if you have any doubts about this just take a look at our solar poster blog series). These folks wake up each morning with the goal of bringing sustainable energy to millions of people, and go to sleep at night knowing that they’ve made progress towards making that goal a reality. To say that we are proud of what we have accomplished so far would be an understatement — but it doesn’t end there.
Sure we’ve ticked a few boxes this year. We launched our new digital home and blog. We went to the Indy 500 to support our friend and fellow solar advocate Stefan Wilson. We visited the White House to identify the impacts of climate change on small businesses, and discuss the benefits of the Clean Power Plan. Heck, we even took home the golden mic at this year’s Intersolar Battle of the Bands!
But it wasn’t all just fun and games; we also managed to get some work done. This year was the busiest year for Inovateus to date, filling our pipeline with more projects than ever and bringing major solar installations in Kokomo, IN; Rincon, GA; and Lapeer, MI closer to the finish line. What’s more, we’ve managed to surround ourselves with some amazing partners, like MiaSole, Fronius and Alterra, who share our vision in making solar a more viable and prevalent source of renewable energy. We’ve made progress, but the hard work isn’t done yet.
There is little doubt that with the New Year comes new challenges, but during this holiday season, let’s focus on our family and friends. After all, solar is much more than turning photons into electrons. It’s about community, and marching steadily together toward our ultimate goal of building a brilliant tomorrow.
