There are a lot of sports enthusiasts at Inovateus, both as spectators and participants, and I count myself among them. I’d say solar, sports and music may be the three most popular passions and pastimes at the company. (OK, and food too.) The choices for our solar posters reflect those interests, including mine.
Since we’re based in South Bend, many of my colleagues root for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football, basketball and other sports teams. But not me. My heart will also always belong to my alma mater and its teams, the Purdue University Boilermakers.
My own solar poster combines my passion for the world-changing mission we’re on with my beloved Boilermakers. The design incorporates solar panels on the outside of the Boilermaker Special train, Purdue’s official mascot.
When I look at the poster, it makes me smile and be thankful and proud of where I work and where I went to school–which is the best university, by the way.
When Purdue alumni, students and other fans gather at sporting events, we raise a fist and shout a special chant, “Boiler Up!” to get fired up in support of our teams. It’s a time-honored tradition, one that unites all Boilermakers for a common purpose.
Here at Inovateus, we like to say “Solar Up!”—to fire ourselves up for our own shared mission—building a brilliant tomorrow.
